Did Weight Loss Fail Us? Do you think that the way that people have tried to achieve weight loss over the years has been successful? In the article, The Emperor s Tailors: The Failure of the Medical Weight Loss and its Causal Role in the Obesity of America, J.S. Puterbaugh talks about how we have been going about weight loss hasn’t been working and it ties in with the obesity problem in America. He starts the opening statement of the article by saying that there are three things that are usually suggested people should do as a means of losing weight, those being: taking responsibility for yourself, going by a groups specific diet, and doing certain exercise routines. To continue his research into the history of the subject, he found that up until the 20th century obesity was controlled by a requirement of high physical activity and lower amounts of access to foods. Puterbaugh continues talking about all of the different approaches that have been taken over the course of history and shows that no matter what we have done the issue with obesity is still becoming a bigger issue today. By interviewing those labeled as untouchable, O’Neil finds a way to truly express to us what it’s like to be an untouchable and the true underlying complications that the seeming unbreakable caste system has projected on its cultural members. What are untouchables? Untouchables, or achutta, are the lowest ranking members in the caste system – or pecking order. O’Neil states that â€Å"untouchables are outcasts – people considered too impure, too polluted, to rank as worthy beings,† (ONeil, p. 1). Type of Companies As per the section 112 of Corporations Act 2001, there is two type of company, public, and proprietary (Act 2001). There are four types of public enterprises: No liability Unlimited share capital Limited by guarantee Limited by shares Proprietary corporations are divided into two parts: Unlimited by share Limited by share capital Name of a Company The provision relating to the name of a company provided under section 148 of the act. The name selected by a new corporation must be available along with Australian Company Number. While incorporating a public enterprise, it is necessary that word Limited is added at the end of the title. In case of a proprietary firm, the word Proprietary Limited is required to be added in the end. The name of unlimited proprietary firms must add Proprietary at the end of the title, and no liability organisations add No Liability word in their title (Barrett 2010). The section 148 of the act requires that the name of an enterprise must not be identical or confusingly similar to another organisations title. This article also provides the regulations regarding unacceptability of specific names which are rejected by ASIC or government departments. For example, a company cannot incorporate with the word Federal or Commonwealth in their title because it shows their connection to government, which can be confusing for the public. The words or titles rejected by ASIC cannot be used by organisations as their name (Lipton 2007).
